Can't take it no more , need to purchase myself one of those fancy wheels, but want it now.
Does anyone know what the best deal is for 'in stock items' ?
Most of the cheaper places are all out.

most of you are probably too young and not Scottish enough to know about these Tennents girls .Started in 1960's right up till 1991.

Was at a friends house and they were using X-Fire to chat with their mates while playing a full screen game.
LFS is the the list of games that are compatible, anyone tried this?

I read in the advanced setup guide that there will be a suspension analyser that takes downforce into account by the end of the year .
Any news ?

Thought the FZR was harder to drive consistently? , each car have there positives and negitives, some eating tyres more than others etc.I think that they are pretty balanced

Booted everything up again this morning, and all working fine?
No idea, maybe the wheel needed a rest? (I secretly suspect the wife’s been doing a bit of sabotage)
Lost Force Feedback ?

Everything was fine while racing tonight ,until I left the garage then suddenly lost all force feedback. Tried ctrl c , nothing ,then restarted the wheel, nothing. rebooted pc , ff seems to be working in game controllers, just not in LFS? Thrustmaster force feedback racing wheel , latest drivers and patch u20

Force feedback is at 120% , tried changing no effect

the safey systems are allowed , just not required , therefore no racing incase of accident

Exactly hyper , these are road going cars (have to be MOT'd and taxed and road legal) , they have no additional safety features , no roll cage , fuel cut off , fire suppressants etc .You have to wear a helmet ,oh and wear long sleeves ! No timing is allowed and no racing is allowed , supposedly

This is how a drivers club affiliated with the RAC Motor Sport Association track day runs at Knockhill

notice the slower cars indicating and pulling over to the inside to be passed safely , not under braking into the hairpin !

Cant believe they let these people on track ,mental.

Driven at few track days at knockhill , but never a hot hatch day ....and never will if that is the standard of driving.Absolutely no respect for other cars or drivers.

Love the placement of cones to stop them undertaking during braking.

Quote from SamH :...and doesn't pretend to be a solution to an LFS business decision (which an actual Dev-initiated ban would be).

Surely it's not good business to have disruptive users annoying your customers or future clients(a friend ,who was thinking of purchasing ,was watching last night)
Quote from SamH : If members are vote-banned too often from servers, I know they get warned by email, and banned if they persist.

I notice a lot of wreckers disconnect before the ban vote is complete , therefore negating this system.

Perhaps placing a link to the barricade beside the dedicated host download
(With a clause like they have for Join2LFS 'mentally but not technically supported by LFS.' )

Quote from Crazy Harry :T: Andr0me and chevvo suckz. Best is a ban vote for crashers like them.

We tried to ban them but with lots of people on the server, completing the vote was difficult. It is hard to tell who is doing the wrecking while you are trying to racing.
Quote from Glenn67 :Well I'm surprised to see that, looks no different to a bad demo server

defo S2 full .I bought i license to get away from that.
Quote from Glenn67 : ... Having said that I guess as LFS gets more and more users the task of managing disruptive users will become a problem...

That’s why I think the EULA should be a little more prominent and perhaps worded differently
Presently , upon finding liveforspeed.net you may read ‘what is LFS’ etc. then proceed with the download and go race .
Very few people actually read the license agreement in most software , so what’s the chances in LFS?
The only reminder to read is a tiny info button on the download page or right at the bottom of ‘read before you buy’ is a link to the EULA !

Quote from SamH :.... Also, a couple of ban files have been made available on the database by barricade server admins....

Managed to download Burnsy's file and open with the ban editor no problem But when I try to download your file, I get the message 'the page cannot bee found.
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.'

How much penetration does the Wrecker Barricade have in 24/7 servers ?
Are the developers on the email list ?

Can they help with promoting the iB ? (ad banners etc.)
Are persistent offenders losing there licences?

Quote from Glenn67 :Other than poor driving skills by some newbies I don't think I've ever seen "obvious, deliberate and malicious wrecking" in S2

you obviously don’t race on public servers much then ,but you want an example from tonight

http://www.kwn.eclipse.co.uk/wreck.mpr easy 50 more to hand if you want

(i refrained from making the first post a ' name and shame')

Quote from Glenn67 :..and that EULA can't be effectively inforced for demo so what are you talking about?

I never mentioned enforcing in demo ,only users that have a licence .
Obviously demo users don’t have licences to revoke !
You take your chances as per warning on entering demo online
